Where it started
Urban Greens began as a hands-on growing operation focused on producing microgreens and baby greens at a consistent, commercial level.
In the beginning, everything was built from reclaimed materials and whatever we could get our hands on. It wasn’t polished, but it worked.
That process forced us to understand what actually matters in a system and what doesn’t.
Figuring it out
We tested different layouts, materials, watering methods, and lighting setups.
Some worked. Most didn’t.
Over time, the focus became clear. Keep it simple. Make it repeatable. Build something that could produce the same result week after week without constant adjustment.insight you gain from engaging directly with consumers.
From growing to building
As the systems improved, other growers started asking how they were built.
What started as internal improvements turned into helping others set up their own operations.
That’s how Urban Greens shifted from running a single grow operation to designing and installing systems for growers who needed the same thing.
Where we are now
Today, Urban Greens works with growers across multiple countries, designing systems for a wide range of operations.
Some are just getting started. Others are scaling to meet demand.
The goal hasn’t changed. Build systems that hold up in real production and help growers produce consistently.
What hasn’t changed
Everything we build still comes from real growing experience.
Not theory. Not assumptions.
Just what works.
